A Guide for those Seeking Self-Discovery: Understanding the Enneagram

In a world where self-discovery tools are becoming mainstream, you might have come across the Enneagram - a powerful and ancient personality typing tool that some think goes as far back as Ancient Greece.

If you are new around here, hi, I’m Evie the found of The Enneagram Guide, host of Guided the podcast and believer in all things self-awareness. And that is exactly what the Enneagram does - it builds self-awareness into every part of our life, deepen our compassion and courage to live the life that we want to live.

My Enneagram Journey

When I first discovered the Enneagram, it gave me a lens to experience deep self-awareness and healing. It allowed me to embrace and love myself fully, possibly for the first time ever. The Enneagram isn't just a personality quiz; it's a journey towards understanding your core motivations, fears, and unique strengths. Let’s jump into my Enneagram overview and learn how it can transform your life, too.

Your Enneagram type shines a light on:

Worried this sounds like I'm putting you in a box? I totally get that - and I felt the same all those years ago but the truth is, the Enneagram shows you how to get out of the box you are already inside of. With your permission, I'd love to guide you out of your self sabotaging behaviours and with ease, show you a more aligned way of living.

This self-awareness not only fosters acceptance but also empowers intentional self-improvement and emotional resilience, allowing you to step far away from the self sabotaging behaviours that are keeping you small.

Daily life

Applying Enneagram knowledge in daily life can only enhance personal development across all parts of life. In relationships, recognising your partner's Enneagram type can foster empathy and improve communication by understanding their perspectives and reactions. Something literally all of us could do with more of. In work settings, understanding your own tendencies as say, a Type 3, driven by achievement, can help you set realistic goals and manage stress effectively. Moreover, integrating Enneagram insights into daily routines, such as mindfulness practices tailored to your type's needs, can promote self-care and emotional balance.

Holistic Wellbeing

Each Enneagram type offers specific insights into maintaining holistic wellbeing. For example, Type 5 individuals, who prioritise knowledge and independence, can benefit from balancing intellectual pursuits with social engagement to nurture emotional health.
